Job Title: Family Peer Partner

Status: Part Time

Shift: AM

Minimum Qualifications:
This position is located in Fairfield, CA

Minimum of a high school diploma/GED.
Minimum of two years clinical/lived experience as applicable in a psychiatric setting.
In the absence of two years experience, training may be substituted.
Family Partners and all employees providing peer support will receive training which may include a full peer support curriculum provided in-house or through contract and shall include the following:
Personal advocacy
Recovery principles
Resiliency principles
Community supports and connection
Effective tools to share lived experience
Relationship and parenting skills
Current peer provider practices

The Family Partner draws upon own personal lived experience, as a parent or primary caregiver of a person with behavioral health challenges, to engage and to validate members and families through the recovery process. They will model strength-based, recovery focused attitudes by accentuating the positive both with individuals and supporters while serving as an advocate on behalf of and with families and clients to promote shared recovery and healing. Some of your duties will include the facilitation of visits and groups, providing community based resources, advocating for client needs and staff, family and client education.
